DIVISION ONE - Twilight @ Gawler Tue 16 Dec 2025     Lost 4-8

We thought the Tuesday Twilight Terrors were behind us when Wade singled in the first and Cesar put one over the fence onto Angle vale Road - two zip.  But that feeling was fleeting, as three errors in our first time in the field evened the score at two all.  AJ was "on loan" from the Giants and was restricted to only forty pitches, so he had to sit aside for Ryan early on.  We scored a couple more in the third after Jose C and Harry and Cezar all singled and Alfredo got two of them home, but we gave up three in the fifth to lag behind on the boerd.  Troy came in to close, and we failed to add to our tally.  Disappointing to say the least.  Hits  :  Wade Moore, Cesar Perez (HR), Alfredo Rodriguez 2, Jose Castellano, Tom Dineen, Joe Papps 1.

DIVISION ONE @ West Torrens  Sat 20.Dec 2025     WON 5-3 - game one     WON 8-5 - game two.

First game of double header  -  Jose Pimentel was on the mound and did a marvellous job restricting the power hitters of the Eagles for six innings, and, to boot, he hit two extremely important home runs - in the second and third innings.  Man of the match.  We plated four in the third after Ollie singled and Hayden  put one over followed by the second of Jose P's two RBI homer - and that was our lot - no more scoring.  The pressure was immense, with us in strife a couple of times facing bases loaded, but every time managing to absorb said pressure with minimum of damage.  A dead set tribute to the boy's fighting spirit.  We went into this game seriously understaffed, and came out victorious.  Hits  :  Jose Pimentel (2HR), Oliver Hayes, Hayden Carroll (HR), Tom Dineen 1.

Game two of double header  -  With pitching stocks at an all time low, the valiant Nathan took on the job of keeping their bats under control, and, boy oh boy, what a fine job he made of it, coming off the mound to let Hayden have a go only after four with the score a very satisfactory two five down.  Our bats came alive, and after Jose C cheekily stole home for a bonus run, Cezar hit a homer with Hayden on base, and again after Ollie hit a fine line drive, he came home in a scrambling play on Hayden"double after Cesar had been intentionally walked.  More tension, with the home side looking to knock us off in the last, but Cesar took the ball as Coach, and pitched a no hitter for our gallant win.  We took both games off them, in what was a very satisfying afternoon.  Hits  :  Hayden Carroll (HR) 3, Cesar Perez (HR), Jose Pimentel, Alfredo Rodriguez, Jose Castellano 2, Oliver Hayes 1.

DIVISION TWO @ West Torrens Sat 20 Dec 2025     WON 6-3

Troy had the pitching duties because he had to leave early for a function, and pitched wonderfully.  Our batters are to be congratulated also, as they took on the opposition straight from the getgo, with three runs coming in the first from a Harry double, a Todd single and Troy and Rhys both knocking in RBI's.. In the next Luke hit and Benji Hayes covered himself in glory by notching up his first senior hit in only a couple of games and Harry followed up with a RBI.  In the fifth, Harry again doubled, and Troy changed places with him for a further run.  The Eagles got two in the last to make it look a little more competitive.  Hits  :  Harrison Kiss, Troy Nicholson 2, Todd Dunstall, Rhys Owen, Luke Taylor, Benji Hayes 1.

DIVISION THREE @ West Torrens Sat 20 Dec 2025     Lost 0-11

The opposition got on top of us in the early going, but we did ourselves no favours by leaving plenty of runners on base in several innings.  But what about that two-way player Josh Mignone - stopped their scoring from the hill, and hit a fine double.  Hits  :  Riley Conner 2, Ken Inoue, David Lodge, Josh Mignone 1.

DIVISION FIVE didn't have the greatest of days going down 0-21

DIVISION SIX still going from strength to strength, this week accounting for the Adelaide team to the tune of a 12-11 victory.  Keep it going team.  Hits  :  Derek Milne, Aaron Petros, Nick McCormack 2, Kim Soung, Steve Couzner, Brad Atkinson 1.

MASTERS unfortunately went down by one run to West Torrens 2-1

WOMANS LEAGUE

DIVISION ONE @ Sturt Sun 21.12.2025     WON 12-1

Scored two in the first, three next dig four in the fifth, two in the last and another along the way with everyone getting in on the act.  Singles, doubles and even triples were commonplace, with the defence superb all game.  Hard to single any one out but I think the second base person had a fine day.  Alice took a tumble scrambling around in a rundown

play and had to retire for the day after pitching just the one inning (hope all is OK) and Peyton stepped into the breech and finished the game off in an excellent fashion.  Hits  :  Alice Brown, Dakota Ding 2, Sarah McMahon, Jemila Dadd, Peyton Daniels, Amara Quinn, Carly Moore, Indie O'Hazy-Schorn, Beth Lee1.

DIVISION TWO were due to play Gawler on Friday Dec 19, but unfortunately the Rangers' team forfeited and that gave us a 9-0 win.

Woodville Baseball Results w/e Sun Dec 14, 2025

MASTERS at West Beach Mon 8.12.25 v GGCD

Lost 3-8 with Brett Kelly getting two hits, Jimmy Chu one, Tim Fawcett one and Steve Couzner one.

MASTERS at West Beach Mon 15.12.26 v Southern Districts Won 4-2

DIVISION ONE Twilight at Don Klaebe Field Tue 9.12.25 v Sth Districts     Lost 2-15

Once again, Tuesday Twilights are not kind to us.  The visitors got three in the first, seven in the second and a further three in the third to put us well and trully on the back foot.  We managed one in the third when Tommy got home on a throwing error and the coach rang the changes and unleashed a budding pitcher in Jose Castellano who did the job and curtailed their scoring somewhat.  Hits  :  a paltry two - one each to Breandan Taheny and Ryan Stradling.

DIVISION ONE At Don Klaebe Field Sat 13.12.25 v East Torrens     Lost 8-11

This was a completely different kettle of fish, with the game in the balance tied at eight all until the last couple of digs.  Scores went up and down all day, with Hayden Carroll tying up the game in the fourth with a three run home run after Ted, Hayden and Wade along with Jose P had all contributed in the first with three runs.  During the course of the game, Ollie Hayes had great imput with three doubles but we didn't capitalize as we should.  The pitchers were put under pressure from their batters, but stuck to their guns.  Hits  :  (and this is encouraging after Tuesday' effort) Ollie Hayes, Wade Moore, Jose Pimentel, Hayden Carroll (HR) 3, Breandan Taheny 2, Cesar Perez, Troy Nicholson 1.

DIVISION TWO At Don Klaebe Field Sat 13.12.25 v East Torrens     Lost 10-11

The game meandered for four innings, except for Kossi's double, but it broke open when Alfredo doubled and Tom advanced him to steal home on a rundown play.  Kossi singled and Luke had an RBI and Will two.  We got five but it was equalled next dig, followed by six in the next and we replied with four, so that left us to get two to tie in the last, and we fell short by only scoring one.  Hits  :  Kosuke Ikeda 3, James Chu, Tom Dineen (HR), Luke Taylor 2, Alfredo Rodriguez, Will Stock 1. Tom Dineen's home run was his first.

DIVISION THREE At Don Klaebe Field Sat 13.12.25 v East Torrens     WON 18-8

Amara was on the mound and whilst the other mob got in front, we were hanging in there with pretty good batting until there was an amazing  turn of events in the fifth when we plated no fewer than twelve runs.  We had help with some errors and wayward pitching, but if you get bat to ball the things often fall your way.  Davey closed and the hits were  :  David Lodge 3, Todd Dunstall, Riley Conner 2, Matthew Nanasi 1.

DIVISION FIVE Away at Northern District Sat 13.12.25     Lost 4-14

DIVISION SIX At West Beach 13.12.25 v Northern District     WON 13-4

The boys are travelling along nicely, racking up some pretty impressive wins of late.  Keep it up fellas. Hits  :  Nick McCormack 3, Aaron Petros, Soung Kim, Steve Couzner 2, Brad Atkinson, Craig Mortimore, David Ding, Shane Lodge 1.

WOMAN'S LEAGUE

DIVISION ONE At Don Klaebe Field Sun 14.12.25 v Kensington     WON 15-0

Masterful performance from ALL the girls in a powerful display.  Alice was unstoppable from the mound, retiring batters in order on three occasions, relieved by Peyton at the finish.  Base running was at its very best with at one stage three coming in on an Indie blooper over first base.  Trebles and doubles abounded, Dakota fittingly hitting two doubles in her two hundredth Club game, to go alongside Alice's two hundredth also.  Hits  :  Amara Quinn 3 (s), Dakota Ding 3 (d,d,s), Sarah McMahon 2 (s), Jem Dadd 2 (s,t) Indie O'Hazy Zschorn 2 (s,d), Alice Brown 1 (t), Peyton Daniels 1 (t), Carly Moore 1 (d).

DIVISION TWO At Don Klaebe Field Fri 12.12.25 v Port     WON 9-7

Had the best of fun on the bench, won the game, scored in every innings - what more could you want ?  The Ding sisters did a double act on the hill - first Dakota and relieved by Kylah.  They had seven strikeouts between them, and Alyssa chipped in with two.   The hits were  :  Dakota Ding, Alyssa Lasscock, Jem Dadd 2, Molly Brown, Aldeyna McCormack 1.

And boy, didn't she love it !

Baseball results WDBC w/e 8.12.25

DIVISION ONE Twilight v Sturt at Don Klaebe Field Tue 2.12.25     Lost 1-19

Not too much to say except - you have to be kidding!  A fourteen run second inning put paid to any chance we may have had of victory, as we used all our resources to no avail in a bid to stop the flow.  It quite simply was not us. We had three hits for the game - namely Breandan Taheny, Jose Castellano and Ryan Stradling.  Must just put that behind us and move on.

DIVISION ONE Away v Port Adelaide Sat 6.12.25     WON 4-2

Well, that got the monkey off the back.  Winning a tight game against strong competition will do that every time.  We turned up with what seemed to be a different mind-set, and under the leadership of Jose Pimentel from the middle, we were in the lead all game.  Jose Castellano was a latecomer due to work commitments, and young Benji Hayes took the right-field position and took two great catches before having his first Div One at bat and walked to first with a big smile on his face.  Top stuff - remember the name (along with brother Ollie).  Scored two in the third and smart play by Jose P and Alfredo got us another in the fifth, but the highlight was a bomb by Cesar in the seventh, which allowed Troy to finish with two top closing innings.  Hits  :  Alfredo Rodriguez 2, Cesar Perez (HR) 1.

DIVISION TWO Away v Port Adelaide Sat 6.12.25     Lost 3-9

Close game for the most part, but they got away from us a bit towards the latter stages.  Early on Wade, Rhys and Manny combined for a run and Goldy had a RBI.  So with Nathan keeping them quiet and no hits coming from either side, they got away and set up a winning lead. One run was forthcoming in our last at bat, but it was not enough.  Hits  :  One each to Wade Moore, Rhys Owen, Armando Ramirez, Steve Goldspink and Will Stock.

DIVISION THREE Away v Port Adelaide Sat 6.12.25     Draw 6-6

With Matt, Ken and Connor all hitting early, we were in the game but Amara knocked in a couple in the fourth and it was game on.  In the sixth Goldy also scored a brace after Alice and Matt got on base and it was neck and neck at this stage.  Amara picked off two base runners in this game, making her year's total eight to date.  So we came to the last trailing by one, and Kossi rose to the occasion and put one over the fence into a fierce wind to draw the game.  Hits  :  Matt Nanasi 2, Ken Inoue, Kosuke Ikeda (HR), David Lodge, Alice Brown, Amara Quinn, Steve Goldspink 1.

DIVISION FIVE At Don Klaebe Field Sat 6.12.25     Lost 11.12

Gave the boys and girls from Flinders a huge start, trailing 1-12 at one stage, but with Jake Wilson in charge from the hill, and a steely determination, we nearly pulled off a great win.  Hits  :  Jake Wilson 3, Sam Kuhne, Chase Wallis 2, Darryl Soar, Tim Fawcett, Luke Fawcett, Jayden Oakley, Chad Garcia, Owen Williams 1.

DIVISION SIX At Don Klaebe Field Sat 6.12.25     WON 12.3 v Flinders

The boys are banking the wins in a really good year, and hopefully it will continue.  Dave Ding pitched (as usual) and the hits were  :  Nick McCormack 2, Derek Milne, Brad Atkinson, Steve Couzner, Kim Soung 1.

MASTERS at West Beach Mon 8.12.25 lost to GGCD 8-3

Hits : Brett Kelly 2, James Chu 1, Tim Fawcett 1, Steve Couzner 1

WOMAN'S LEAGUE

DIVISION ONE  Twilight v Sturt away Wed Dec 3, 2025     WON 12-4

This was a catch-up game due to an earlier washout - but it makes no difference to our girls as they just seem to be going from strength to strength.  Peyton and Alice were the pitchers, and the hits were  :  Jemila Dadd 2, Sarah McMahon, Peyton Daniels, Indie O'HazySchorn 1.

DIVISION ONE v Adelaide away Sun 7.12.25     WON 27-2

Well, what can you say.  This game was one v two on the ladder, and our girls certainly came to play.  Nothing much more to add actually as Alice was pitching in her usual fine style and the hits (all nineteen of them) were  :  Amara Quinn 4, Indie O'HazySchorn, Jemila Dadd 3, Sarah McMahon, Peyton Daniels, Alice Brown 2, Dakota Ding, Amber McMahon, Beth Lee 1.

DIVISION TWO At Don Klaebe Field Fri Dec 6.2025     Lost 16-17

The game was full of runs, and we were a bit stiff in the end as we needed six to win in the last dig, but as we all know, five is the maximum, and we got the five and the sixth to draw crossed the plate but was, of course, not counted.  Di and Kylah did the job from the middle, and the hits were  :  Alyssa, Molly, Bridget, Di 2, Lindsay, Dakota, Kylah 1.

JUNIORS

U18  -  Had a bye

U14   -  Played Glenelg and lost 6-10

U12  -  Played Kensington and won 9-7
