DIVISION ONE and DIVISION TWO were both scheduled to play Northern Districts away, but, as we all know the weather became diabolical, and we were left staring at muddy playing surfaces and waiting for the eventual downpour, which came king-size. No play obviously. Div One has them at home on Tuesday twilight, so we should make the most of it and record another win to keep our momentum going.
DIVISION THREE - had a bye.
DIVISION SIX
Didn't even make it onto the park in their eagerly anticipated contest against Kensington.
DIVISION SEVEN
Got the game in against a Glenelg team and had a good win before the rains came.
DIVISION EIGHT
Top win after conceding five in the first - all after two outs. Just persistent baseball, with man of the match Soung Kim accounting for five of their outs in two digs while amassing a couple of hits, Shane Nicholson forgetting his old-man's calf injury and helping himself to three rbi's, young Hoony Kim stepping in to his Dad's footsteps, and the rest of the boys just doing their thing. Come from behind wins are always good, and this was a beauty 11-7. Hits : Shane Nicholson 3, Soung Kim 2, Tony Tuttle, Mike Chemny, Shane Lodge, Matt Davey, Hoony Kim 1.
WOMEN'S LEAGUE
DIVISION ONE
At Don Klaebe Field Sun 13.11.22 v Glenelg WON 15-5
So you have to remember that the Bays won the Flag last season, and we have now mercied them twice in a matter of a few weeks. They took advantage of our poor outfielding in the first to put a run on the board, but the girls responded and for the rest of the game were as mean as they could be. Our first, and Ash tripled and a Carly sacfly put us on equal terms, then four in the next on the back of Amara's two rbi hit followed by the first of SMacks two rbi's for the day, and then scoring the maximum five in both of the next two innings made it hard for them to come back, as Darna was well on top, and Amara wasn't going to let them off the hook when she nailed them in the last. Heckling from the opposition bench was countered by some smiles and a little cheeky wiggling. Hits : Sarah McMahon, Darna Boers-Veen 3, Ash George 2, Carly Moore, Amara Quinn, Alyssa Lasscock, Skye Tasiopolous 1.
DIVISION TWO
Away v Sturt 11.12.22
Lost 10-12
Really, really a bit stiff here. After leading late in the game, our girls were subjected to a Div One pitcher coming on to the shortened pitching distance, and were unable to keep the scoring going. Anyway, I'm sure the experience will hold them all in good stead for the future as they play a brand of baseball of which we can all be proud.

U13 -1 (LL)
Lost 6-7 to port in a game that went down to the wire. Our pitchers, namely Archie, Chace and Remy all were terrific on the mound, and the hits were ; Remy Brooks 2, Anton Kumar (HR), Luke Fawcett, Benji Hayes 1.
U13 -2 (LL)
Lost 4-19 v E Torrens
U11 (Minor League)
Had a terrific win over Port 5-4. Seesawing game that saw us go to the lead only to be reeled in and then find the run necessary to take the win. Kylah was the star pitcher, and good disciplined batting at the crucial times got us the win. Hits : Myles 2 and Kylah 1. U10 (Mini) Went to Goodwood and came home losing narrowly 5-9. Good times had by all.
Our teeballers had a hitout against their Port counterparts, and all had a great time. That's what it is all about.
